I have purchased and installed 4 of these cameras in 2 offices in 2 different cities. I can login to each camera seperately from anywhere there is an Internet connection and see/hear what is going on. This camera has a fairly intuitive web interface. Also, if you have programming skills, Panasonic has released a kind of sdk that allows one to write code that controls the cameras as well as integrate camera output to your own web pages. The picture quality is outstanding and the zoom is phenomenal. I can zoom in and read 12pt. text on something that is 10ft away! Installing the cameras on your network is wizard-based and fairly simple. My network uses Linksys routers which are uPnP capable so the port forwarding is done automagically with this camera. I have had to use the free Viewnetcam service that comes with the camera because I have dynamic IP addressing, but have found it to work fine and is pretty reliable. A word of caution though; Panasonic support for this camera seems to be out of Japan and is done through email. Other than that, the camera is wonderful, but may be way overkill for simple webcam use...

Expensive, but if you need the 21x optical zoom, this is the camera to get. I am very pleased with the camera. I installed it on the ceiling. Just make sure, in the router that you use, that the "Router connection type" is set to "Continuous".
