I ordered this product because of the good reviews and because every other monitor I read about seemed to have some kind of issue. I assumed that I was buying a brand called “Home Sentry” and was very disappointed when the item arrived and I realized that what I actually bought was an off brand manufactured in China. There is no such thing as “Home Sentry”. This is actually a product made in China. [...] I can’t attest to how well this device works because once I realized what it was I sent it back. What I can attest to is that it seemed cheaply made and there is no way you could ever get support on this item because I couldn’t even figure out who really made it, much less who to contact.

Also, if you click on the reviewers for the other reviews you will notice that they only reviewed this item. Furthermore you will find some of these that come in sets of 2 or more, but are the same model and if you click on those reviews you will see that some of those reviewers have reviewed multiple packages with different details so I can only surmise that one of the sellers is leaving false feedback.

I would be very, very leery of this product.

The only good thing I can say about my purchase is that konakmedia issued me a full refund and was very easy to deal with…too bad they are selling such a bad product.

After purchasing and returning 3 baby monitors made by high profile companies we were about to give up and accept the reality that interference was an unavoidable problem. But, we decided to try one more system and switched to the “Home Sentry” from Safe Baby. And, as was once said, that has made all the differtence.

The difference?? The Home Sentry is DIGITAL. And, because it is digital it is completely free from interference– no static, no drifting picture, no weird and unexpected sounds, and no pictures of our neighbor’s child. And, our neighbor no longer gets visuals of our baby either.

Amaszon sells the “Home Sentry” in units of 1,2,3, and 4 cameras. Extra cameras can also be purchased separately.

Given the relatively low price point of the “Home Sentry” there is no reason for anyone to suffer through an old technology analog monitor. The key difference is that the “Home Sentry’s” cameras and monitors are “paired” and cannot drift and the monitor can accept a signal only from the camera that is paired to it. And, the monitor can operate with as many as 8 cameras simultaneously, each separately paired to the monitor.

The signal range of this monitor is at least as good as the best analog monitor. The visual is clear and crisp on the 2.5″ monitor and the sound is excellent.

I highly recommend the “Home Sentry” to anyone in the market for and audio-visual baby monitor.

Please click on “see all my reviews” next to each glowing review of the product. Why is this the only product every one of these people reviewed. The reviews sounded like marketing soundbites, so I wanted to see if they were legit. Seems dubious.

Well I actually have this product and I suppose you would have to admit that it works. However, don’t expect very much and certainly don’t expect the overly glowing reviews that suddenly all showed up about a month ago at essentially the very same time as the posting from the President of the Company in a desperate attempt to defend his product! It very much appears to me (and to another poster as well) that suddenly the employees of this company (this site allows you to claim your from any city you like) all suddenly bought this at the same time and all found it near flawless. Look folks, it works but in a dark room it’s essentially worthless unless you’ve got a fairly good night light in the same room. This is an alright daytime monitor and little else and that’s truth. As far as the claim for no interference that doesn’t even pass the laugh test since all FCC wireless devices of this certification are indeed subject to interference of all kinds . . . and you should expect some. This is at best a decent product worthy of 2 stars. I’ve since found much better products on the market and at not very much more in price. Do your homework and by all means be suspicious of the obvious shameful “puffing” of this product here on this site.

I have bought 6 or 7 different baby monitors over the past 3 years. I am still looking for one that works at a reasonable distance and has minimal interference. This monitor works great with the camera in one room and the monitor in an adjacent room, but it completely loses a connection across the house. I would not recommend this monitor.
