Could use button labels. I marked an “X” on the one to cancel the alarm, it helped. Since they all work interchangeably with the other components, it makes sense to me to make this more intuitive. Other than that, it programmed easily and seems to have adequate range. Skylink makes a decent product. Not the easiest to set up and limited pre-programmed functions but great for the price.

I can’t say enough for how convenient these key fobs are.
The control pad is clunky, and on the off chance that a burglar might be familiar with the Skylink security system, I wanted to place it in an out of the way location. On the other hand, trying to get behind a couch to deactivate the system in under 15 seconds was not appealing. The remote was the perfect solution. Each person in the household has one, and we only need to get back to the control panel when settings or batteries need to be changed.

These remotes are not bad. But one of them broke all of sudden after 4 month of use.

Purchased in October 2008 as part of Skylink SC-1000 Complete Wireless Alarm System.
Works well, haven’t had to change battery yet.
Has a communication range of around 25ft, with only a few obstacles in between.
Your mileage may vary depending on the environment in which you use it. (i.e. My walls are wooden)

I purchased this with my Skylink System about 7 months ago and it has worked without any problem so far. It is handy that you can arm, disarm and activate panic alarm with a push of the button. Although, I would recommend that you do not disarm the system until you have entered the house. That way if you hear the 15 second count down you know that no one is in your house (most likely).
